This black and white image captures Brian Jones seated on a bench at the Monterey International Pop Festival, dressed in an elaborate fur-trimmed coat, layered necklaces, and light-colored trousers. His ornate psychedelic style and relaxed pose embody the flamboyant fashion and countercultural spirit surrounding the festival. Circa 1967.

Brian Jones was a founding member of The Rolling Stones and one of the defining figures of the 1960s British rock scene. Although the Stones did not perform at Monterey, Jones attended the festival and famously introduced Jimi Hendrix before his legendary performance, becoming part of the history of the landmark 1967 event.
