Marilyn Monroe posing for a portrait while standing with her car door open on the set of "How to Marry a Millionaire". Beautifully restored and recolored from the original 1953 black and white photograph by well-known photographer of the stars Frank Worth.

Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, model, and singer. Famous for playing comedic "blonde bombshell" characters she became one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s and was emblematic of the era's changing attitudes towards sexuality.

About the Photographer

Frank Worth was a confidant and friend to many Hollywood stars during Hollywood's "Golden Age," when they were constrained by the powerful studio system. Due to these close relationships, Worth captured stars in elements and scenes not seen elsewhere. This is his famed collection.
