Young Natalie Wood and Patrick Wayne, son of the legend John Wayne goofing around on the set of "The Searchers". The Western film directed by John Ford was set during the Texas Indian Wars starring John Wayne as a middle-aged Civil War veteran who spends years looking for his abducted niece played by Natalie Wood. The film was a commercial success, although it received no Academy Award nominations. Since its release, it has come to be considered a masterpiece, and one of the greatest and most influential films ever made. Just a great photo of the fresh faced Wood at the time her star was on the rise.
